“Sunrise Festival 2017: Shouun” set to begin on August 11th! Screening titles and schedules have been released!

Dates for “Sunrise Festival,” an annual event that screens titles from Sunrise and Bandai Namco Pictures, has been set. Information about what titles will be shown, the schedule, and tickets were released on May 19^th (Fri).

This year, the event is titled “Sunrise Festival 2017: Shouun” and will be held with “Rise High into the Summer Sky!!” as its theme.
The venues will be these three theaters: Shinjuku Picadilly, Theatre Shinjuku, and TOHO Cinemas Shinjuku. The first portion of the event will take place from August 11^th (Fri, public holiday) to the 25^th (Fri) while the second portion will take place from September 2^nd (Sat) to the 16^th (Sat) for a total of 30 days.

The screening Gundam series is a complete lineup that includes an all-night showing of Iron-Blooded Orphans on August 12^th (Sat), a showing of the English voiced Mobile Suit Gundam Thunderbolt DECEMBER SKY with Japanese subtitles, something that is not readily seen in theaters, on August 15^th, Mobile Suit Gundam 0080: War in the Pocket, which was announced for its first Blu-ray, on August 17^th, and Mobile Suit Gundam 00 which is approaching its 10^th anniversary.

Other showings include Machine Robo Rescue, Sortie! (8/18), Mama is a 4^th Grader (8/20), Invincible Super Man Zambot 3 (9/12), and City Hunter (9/16), all of which should not be overlooked.

Late show and general screening tickets are 1,800 yen (tax included) each and will be sequentially sold at each theater. All-night tickets are 4,300 yen (tax included) each and will be available for general sale at a first-come-first-serve basis on e-plus from June 17^th (Sat) at 10:00am.
