SRWα and α Gaiden now available from Game Archives! Plus details on SRW's 20th Anniversary event!
The 'Spirits of Steel' festival will be held at Tokyo International Forum on 3/18!
Namco Bandai Games' hit strategy titles Super Robot Taisen α and Super Robot Taisen α Gaiden are available for download from the PlayStation® Store Game Archives beginning December 21st. Each is priced at ¥1,500.
Super Robot Taisen α, published for the PlayStation® in 2000 by Banpresto, introduced fully-animated sprites and more and marked the beginning of a new Super Robot Taisen series.
Its sequel, Super Robot Taisen α Gaiden, was released for the PlayStation® in 2001 and was the first SRW appearance of ∀ Gundam.

A new stage in Super Robot Taisen history, and the first of the α series.
New systems like full animations and cut-ins, the Skill Point system, and isometric maps were introduced. This was also the first appearance of 'End of Evangelion', 'Superdimensional Fortress Macross', and 'Giant Robo: The Day the Earth Stood Still'.

The second of the α series.
With evolved animation and a fresh new futuristic setting, this entry also introduced the Support Attack/Support Defense systems. It was also the first appearance of '∀ Gundam', 'Blue Gale Xabungle', and 'Galaxy Cyclone Braiger'.
