Revealed: The project for the two “The Origin MSD” Guncannon - “Test Type” & “First Type Roll Out Unit 1”!

■RCX-76-01A Guncannon Mobility Test Type

With the development of the RCX-76-02 Guncannon First Type, upon deciding on armaments and other specifications, a new airframe was created to enable a different set of equipment. Tests on the power and drive systems for the RCX-76-01A were implemented, mainly to check the Guncannon’s moving ability. Gatling guns seem to rest on both shoulders, on the left and the right. As for the antenna, they considered a V shape type. Based on the acquired data for the RCX-76-01A, it was assembled by the developer Anaheim Electronics, in the Von Braun plant. Its influence shows on the RCX-76-02, too.

■RCX-76-01B Guncannon Fire Power Type

RCX-76-01B’s body is a prototype, which is equipped with a long-range supporting tool. On both shoulders’ armed platform rest heavy caliber guns, while the right arm hosts a quadruple mount machine gun, useful in short-range battles. A cockpit was installed on the head of RCX-76-01B, allowing a gunner to get inside and control the firearms. The control panel for the body appears on the side of the abdomen. The recoil the body withstood upon firing its heavy caliber guns during the shooting test was larger than expected. This shelved the use of those on the Guncannon first type.
