Details on Gundam Build Fighters Try: Island Wars and Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans season 2’s broadcasts and merchandise were announced yesterday in a press conference held at the Bandai Namco Mirai-Kenkyusho.

Takashi Fujiwara of Bandai’s Hobby division spoke first on the history of Gundam and Gunpla.
Then Sunrise director Shin Sasaki laid a blueprint for the future of Gundam, and producer Masakazu Ogawa who formally announced the August 21st broadcast of Gundam Build Fighters Try: Summer Wars and the October 2nd premiere of Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans season 2.

Next, Hirotake Taguchi from Hobby presented a lineup of Gunpla to accompany the new series, and Bandai Namco Entertainment Consumer Software division’s Yusuke Sasaki gave the latest news on SD Gundam G Generation Genesis and other titles.

▲ Tetsuo Sato of Punk Booboo, well-known as a modeler, was invited as a special guest. Speaking passionately of his own enthusiasm, he also noted: “Gundam is something that three generations can now enjoy. I love building with my son.”
