Mobile Suit Gundam Twilight AXIS #1 will stream for free on June 23rd! #2 and onwards will be available every other week exclusively for the GFC!

The latest information on Mobile Suit Gundam Twilight AXIS, previously announced to become an anime, was unveiled on May 11^th (Thurs.)

The series is currently an ongoing novel published in “Yatate Bunko,” a website where Sunrise publishes unique original content, and will be the first “Yatate Bunko” content to be animated and available for advanced streaming exclusively for Gundam Fan Club members. It will be a short anime composed of episodes #1 - #6; #1 - #5 will be approximately 3 minutes each while #6 will be approximately 8 minutes long. #1 will be available for free streaming through the Gundam Fan Club, Gundam.info, Yatate Bunko, Bandai Channel, and Youtube services. Episode #2 and onwards will be available every other week exclusively for Gundam Fan Club members.

[Left] Mehmet Merka
A member of “Cabinet Department 6,” an intelligence bureau under the direct jurisdiction of the Earth Federations government, and a commanding officer of the Earth Federation special forces “Mastima.” He is ranked a first lieutenant. He has been ordered to confirm the existence of research materials related to the Psycho Frame in a research facility located inside Axis and to recover those materials if present. He requests Arlette and Danton to accompany him as guides to Axis and acts as their guard.

[Right] Quentin Fermo
An enhanced human affiliated with the mysterious armed group “Barnum” that attacks the “Mastima” unit investigating Axis. It is believed that he was once a subject of various experiments at a New Type research institute established nearby the Earth Federations Augusta base. His current background and purpose in appearing on Axis is unknown.

RGM-89 Jegan (Barnum)
The suit used by the mobile suit forces under Quentin Fermo’s command and attacks the “Mastima” special forces commanded by Mehmet. The suit is originally a mass-produced suit of the Earth Federation Forces. Details on the means in which “Barnum” obtained the suit or the independent repairs performed have not been divulged.

RX-160G Byarlant Isolde
A mobile suit of the mysterious group “Barnum” that attacked the “Mastima” special forces commanded by Mehmet. This suit is piloted by Quentin’s younger brother Walter Fermo. Though the suit is known to be a variant of Byarlant, the details in which how it was obtained or developed remain unknown.

AMX-104 R-Jarja
A close-combat prototype mobile suit derived from the Principality of Zeon’s YMS-15 Gyan. It is a suit developed by Neo Zeon and was left behind in the Axis storage dock. It is a suit that Arlette has previously worked on.

Summary

It is the latter half of Universal Century 0096 and the Earth Federation government feel threatened by the existence of the “Psycho Frame.” First lieutenant Mehmet Merka, a member of the intelligence bureau under their jurisdiction, forms a special force called “Mastima” and is given an important mission to infiltrate and investigate the severed “Axis,” an asteroid that drifts near the Earth Sphere.
There are two civilians by the name of Arlette Almage and Danton Hyleg, both of whom were once an engineer and test pilot respectively for the Principality of Zeon and Neo Zeon, who accompany Mehmet as members of the investigation team.
When the investigation team infiltrate Axis, they are assaulted by the private army “Barnum’s” new type Gundams despite the base being thought to be abandoned. Although they fight back with the red “Zaku III Custom,” a mobile suit that Danton and Arlette were both once involved with, they confront various critical situations.
Amidst all this, Arlette keeps certain “feelings” hidden away in her heart and is faced with the wreckage of the Sazabi that was left behind on the surface of Axis…
