Since March 25th (Saturday), the work based on the mechanical designer Ōkawara Kunio’s new ideas and gimmicks is now three dimensional thanks to the release of the “METAL BUILD Gundam F91”, showing the titular mobile suit “Gundam F91” from “Mobile Suit Gundam F91”. This is the first Universal Century Mobile Suit from After War, making the Gundam F91 a never seen before novelty.
Both the shoulder fins and the variable speed beam rifle use the brand new gimmick ideas proposed by the original designer Ōkawara. In addition, the same staff who created the “METAL BUILD Destiny Gundam”, and the “Strike Freedom Gundam” have gathered together, creating a three dimensional version of the mobile suit following the directions of the most prominent name of the staff itself regarding the METAL BUILD Original arrange. Also, the model uses the series’ first ever “etching parts”. Thanks to an injection of moulding material, they could reproduce impossibly dainty details.
Besides, the “Face Open” peculiar to the F91 was implemented without any revision. The head doesn’t just open and close beautifully, but it comes with a non-modified head which emphasizes its shape.
